From an early age Austin struggled with posture issues and recurring sports injuries. After exhausting many treatment avenues he eventually received chiropractic care, which not only relieved his pain but inspired him to pursue a career in chiropractic.

Austin qualified with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. He has been working in a busy practice locally for the last four years, before moving to Honiton to run Honiton Chiropractic Clinic. Austin is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Austin has completed additional courses on Rocktaping, Dry Needling and other chiropractic techniques to help provide a more dynamic, holistic and personalised approach to the treatment of a range of conditions.

Out of the clinic, Austin enjoys watching rugby and playing golf. He likes to keep himself fit and active and specialises in sports rehabilitation.

" I am passionate about sharing all the benefits of chiropractic care with as many people as possible and look forward to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals. "

Tessa Blair

MISRM

Tessa recently qualified as a level 5 soft tissue therapist with the ISRM after discussing the idea some 8 years ago with her soft tissue therapist. After 16 years of farming, 3 years ago Tessa decided to take the initiative to retrain and set up her massage business, Active Muscle Therapy, and is now also joining the team here at Honiton Chiropractic Clinic on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

Various injuries over the years including a recent full hip replacement, inspired Tessa to pursue this profession after experiencing the benefits of soft tissue therapy first hand.

Tessa has also trained in Thai Tabletop massage, Strength and conditioning for rehabilitation, kinesiology Taping and is looking forward to doing a pregnancy massage course in September.

Tessa grew up in mid Devon and loves her busy outdoor life on the farm in Cornwall with her two grown up children. Tessa has a passion for animals, keeping fit, obstacle racing, F1, motorbikes and rugby and would love to squeeze in more travelling into her busy life.

"I love being a massage therapist and helping people with pain and restriction feel better, move freely and function with ease"
