Chiropractors

Austin Wells-Burr

MChiro DC LRCC

From an early age Austin struggled with posture issues and recurring sports injuries. After exhausting many treatment avenues he eventually received chiropractic care, which not only relieved his pain but inspired him to pursue a career in chiropractic.

Austin qualified with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. He has been working in a busy practice locally for the last four years, before moving to Honiton to run Honiton Chiropractic Clinic. Austin is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Austin has completed additional courses on Rocktaping, Dry Needling and other chiropractic techniques to help provide a more dynamic, holistic and personalised approach to the treatment of a range of conditions.

Out of the clinic, Austin enjoys watching rugby and playing golf. He likes to keep himself fit and active and specialises in sports rehabilitation.

" I am passionate about sharing all the benefits of chiropractic care with as many people as possible and look forward to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals. "

Massage Therapists

Marina Hodder Bodyworx Massage Therapist

Marina Hodder

MISRM

Marina completed a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy in January 2020 and went on to start her own business, Bodyworx Soft Tissue Therapy.

During the course, Marina gained a lot of knowledge and skills to help people from all walks of life. She is a member of the ISRM (Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage) who provide invaluable professional support and guidance.

Prior to having a family, Marina worked for 17 years in a health and social care environment including being a deputy manager in a care home for the elderly. She has always been interested in pain management and rehabilitation from injuries, and managing chronic conditions.

In her spare time, Marina spends a lot of time outdoors, whether walking her dog, being pitch-side watching her children play sport, gardening or just enjoying the beautiful countryside in East Devon.

" I have always been fascinated by the benefits of massage and rehabilitation and take great pride in building a friendly rapport with my patients. "

Sam Branch

MISRM

For years, Sam had the desire to be a massage therapist after watching her best friend struggle to find one in her final months while battling a terminal illness.

Fast forward 20 years, and her good friend Marina was training to be a Soft Tissue Therapist which sounded fascinating, and would provide her with the basis to fulfil the promise she made to herself. Sam therefore enrolled on the course in 2019 and began her training.

Sam achieved her BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy in August 2021 and Sam Branch Soft Tissue Therapist was born. She is also a member of the ISRM (Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage).

With two children now at secondary school, Sam feels it is the perfect time for her to embark on the next chapter of her life, which will include realising her ambitions to help people and take the necessary Oncology related courses to allow her to treat cancer patients, patients in remission and patients recovering from surgery in the future.

Sam grew up just outside of Honiton and before having children was a keen Equestrian Eventer competing across the South West. She also enjoys swimming, bike rides, walking and spending time with her family.

"Becoming a Soft Tissue Therapist has made me realise how much I enjoy helping people through massage. Our bodies have an amazing way of alerting us to something wrong - all we have to do is act on this!"
